  • hatin life.....grrrr

    I am STILL looking for a job.  Hurrican Ike set us all back about a week.  There are still some without power and it's been three weeks today.  ugh  I am hoping to hear back from someone today.  They all say "I should know something within two days or so....I will call you".  ONLY one place actually called me....I hate it when people say they will call and never do.  Why is it most employers will hire someone with no experience for less money rather than hiring someone who knows darn well what to do and how to do it but requires a little more money???  I don't get it.  Then they have problems with those people taking forever to learn or not wanting to do what they are supposed to do and then they quit cause they can't handle it???  I just don't freakin GET IT!!!!!!!!! 

    We have tried to buy a car and can't even do that right now either....no one wants to give us a loan because of our house payment and other car.....don't get that either.   Even with unemployment benefits, it's enough for my monthly mortgage and gas.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Dang it's been a long time since I have been on here....lol  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much has happened since my last blog.  I was fired from my job, lost my car about to lose my house if I don't get a job like TOMORROW...grrr...and on top of losing stuff I have to BUY another car!!!  I've been extremely depressed, moody, bitchy, grumpy and the list goes on and on my friend.  My daddy always said if you don't have anything NICE to say, then don't say anything at all...hence the reason for me not being online much. 

    However, I just got a call from a home health company...it's not the one I want to work for, but I am hoping that once I get an offer from them, I will be able to take it to the other place and they can counter-offer.  Because, from what I hear, the other place wants me there really bad, they just are having a hard time deciding WHEN they want me...lol  Maybe this will help with their decision.  lol 

    Just pray for me please....I just don't know how much more of this I can take...ugh.

    And pray for my dad...he just found out he has staph in his EYE.  This is the 4th time he has had staph infections over the last 2 years.  Started out on his leg then moved up...now in his eye.

  • FUNNY!!!

    I read the following thinking aww...how sweet/sad.  Until I read the LAST sentence...then I almost peed my pants!!!

    A little old couple walked into a fast food restaurant. The little old man walked up to the counter, ordered the food, paid, and took the tray back to the table where the little old lady sat.

    On the tray was a hamburger, a small bag of fries and a drink. Carefully the old man cut the hamburger in two, and divided the fries into two neat piles. He sipped the drink and passed it to the little old lady, who took a sip and passed it back.

    A young man on a nearby table had watched the old couple and felt sorry for them. He offered to buy them another meal, but the old man politely declined, saying that they were used to sharing everything. The old man began to eat his food, but his wife sat still, not eating.

    The young continued to watch the couple. He still felt he should be offering to help.

    As the little old man finished eating, the old lady had still not started on her food. "Ma'am, why aren't you eating?" asked the young man sympathetically.

    The old lady looked up and said politely, "I'm waiting for the teeth..."

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA  ROFLMBBO

  • blisters on my eyeball

    I have been having trouble with my eyes for a few days.  Finally, Wednesday, I tried a new pair of contacts, but still didn't help any. So I figured it MUST be my eyes. Thursday I had one of the wonderful nurses at my office look at them to make sure I didn't have conjunctivitis (pink eye).  She looked at the left one and jumped three feet back all while saying I have 3 blisters on my eyeball!!!  I, of course, not being clinical, thought she was CRAZY!!  So I went to the owner of our company who is also an RN and she said the same thing and jumped back away from me.  So this morning I called my MD and got an appointment.  Everyone was wanting to look at it...even the secretary...lol  My doc scared the bejeezies out of me when I told her I didn't mind waiting til Monday to see an opthamologist.  She said "NO YOU CAN'T...you might have to be admitted to the hospital!!"  I freaked....ugh.  Got to the opthamologist office and he gave me EYEDROPS and said he wanted to see me again in a week.  I think that is when I finally started breathing again.  lol  You have to understand I am blind as a bat AND my job depends on me driving all over north houston and beyond....if anything happened to my eyes, I would just DIE!!  Made me start thinking that I would never be able to see my grandchildren....would have to rely on my hubby for just about EVERYTHING...even fixing my hair OHHHH NOOOOOOOO   That would be horrific.  I am so grateful for EYEDROPS and to Gena for finally mailing my coke bottle glasses back to me....hahahaha

  • Howdy Y'all!!!

    I know I have been MIA but I promise to be back soon and post....lots going on...lots to talk about.  Just had our Walker Family Reunion last weekend in Kilgore Texas.  That was fun....except I left there feeling very old...I am the oldest grandchild on my mom's family's side...heck, on both sides.  Anyway, I created a blog for our family cause we are all really bad about staying in touch.  Two of my cousins and I have posted pics from the weekend, so go check them out.  We are a weird bunch and there are LOTS of new babies/kids....some I saw for the first time!!  www.walkerfamilyreunion.blogspot.com
